Confession
I'm so embarrassed (but obviously not embarrassed enough to not say anything). The other night Dan and I were in a movie mood, but really, there isn't much out that we want to see. Just jokingly I told him to get High School Musical 3. He gagged and made a fuss and came back with it and Fireproof. He very kindly asked me which one I wanted to see first, and then ignored me and put in Fireproof. K, this movie was so bad (acting wise, cheesy wise, etc.) that we turned it off. Reluctantly Dan put in HSM3, and we continued to make fun of this cheesy movie. I found it funny that the acting was better in this than in the first movie. Anyway, confession time. I liked it. Yes, it's cheesy, but I liked it (except for the short skirts/dresses. Are those really in style...bleh). I liked it so much I made Dan go get me the first one the next day. Curse my inner-teenage girl (as my cousin said regarding twilight). It reminded me of my high school, but I'm not sure why, because my high school was nothing like that, and neither were my friends...well okay, I had a few overly dramatic friends (I might be included in that, but I'm not saying...you'll just have to wonder). I would add this movie to my collection...or really I guess I should say I would watch it multiple times since I'm not willing to spend more than $5 on a movie. I'm not sure what liking this movie (all of them) says about me, I guess my inner-teenage girl is a bigger part of me than I realize, but is that such a bad thing?

I really enjoyed the movie - we own it. I agree with you on the skirts and such though. I thought a lot of them were rather hideous.
Tarah... I, too, love High School Musical. It's true. I may even know one of the dances. :)
My girls love all the movies. I think they are cheesy also, but I love the music
Super cheesy. Zoie loves it. Don't you feel embarrassed for "Troy" when he's doing his dance at the school that one night?
I haven't seen the 3rd one, but I did see the first one and part of the 2nd. Or maybe it was part of the 1st and all of the 2nd. Anyway...I kinda liked them. Totally embarrassed to tell anyone that, but still.
And hey, I loved Twilight too. I must be a total teenage girl at heart. (Oh, that's a really scary thought.)
I know what you mean. I tell Mike all the time that I am a 15 year old girl at heart. I love Twilight and Taylor Swift. What more can I say?
This is Nanci, we are in aurora on the parents computer. First off, I salute you and your liking for HSM, its been one of my fav's since the first one. However, I didn't love #3, I didn't like the songs. I also loved twilight movie, enough thats its helping motivate me to finish the books. Now, lets pause for a moment of silence before I talk about fireproof....fact: you turned it off, fact: you need to rent it and get past the first 10 minutes of bad acting. This show's message is incredible...incredible because a "hollywood type" came up with the idea. I was in happy tears by the end, it makes you recommit to the gospel and will make you love dan even more. At least thats our take on it. and now jed is informing me that the world is collapsing(the kids are out of control) and I'm blogging. I responded..."well, its tara's blog." He replies, "oh, and that makes it okay, because its tara's blog?" so, I'll get to the other posts later. Love ya
Yes, dearie, it's true. High School Musical is extremely cheesy, and for some reason, greatly entertaining. It reminded me of our lovely days at good ol' Wasatch too, even though they were nothing like that. Maybe it's just that high school spirit. Or maybe we've just never grown up... that's not really a bad thing. Life is boring if you can't remember how to have fun and get silly (like dancing around like a lunatic in front of your 3rd and 7th grade students during "sing time"). Ah... this is the life.
