Labor Day

Unfortunately "Labor Day" does not refer to me having this little man...sigh...I still have months left. However, on the bright side, I'm not really ready for him to come right now anyway! I'm done being pregnant, but not so ready for the third. Yes, that was all random, and has nothing to do with this post, but I'm sure it adds a bit of flavor.
Dan has two weeks off rotations, but it starts tomorrow. It was supposed to start today, but with the holiday they don't change anything. It worked out well though, we were still able to have family time today. I have no idea what time Dan had to leave this morning to do whatever he has to do at the Vet school...I'm not even sure when Kember got up. I got out of bed at 8:18 and it was marvelous. No, I wasn't sleeping till then. Sleep is kind of hard when a 3 year old is constantly talking or jumping on you. But, I persisted until the above mentioned time. Dan came home not too long after that and we all got ready for our picnic. For some reason Kember thought we were having a party. Sure, why not call it that? We decided to go out to Kamiack (spelled wrong, but what can you do?) Butte and do a little hike and then eat. It was a lot of fun, and very pretty. The weather was great (if you like Fall weather, and that's Dan's favorite), and we got some good pictures, so here they are for your viewing enjoyment.
The stick that Caden is holding was not relinquished easily. In fact he had it the whole hike. The only time he gave it up was when we started to eat. For some reason he reminds me of his dad...:)

Not only do I have goofy kids (cute...but goofy...not to mention clumsy, but that's another post) but I have a goofy husband as well (cute, but goofy).Did I mention that Dan put all this together? He got everyone moving (a difficult task in my house), got the kids dressed, made the sandwiches, and loaded everyone up in the car. Yeah, he's great, I know.

That looks like a neat place to visit. Does it take long to get there?

How fun! Love the pictures. Yeah, I see a bit of a resemblance between Dan and Caden. :)
Hey, if you tried to call me tonight, I tried to call you back several times, but for some reason it kept telling me that the call could not be completed as dialed, even though I dialed all the numbers, so whatever. I got frustrated and gave up.
Anyway, I'll try and call your home number tomorrow.
If I remember.
Oh, and you are such a cute preggo chick! That shirt you're wearing didn't even come close to fitting me in the last part of my pregnancy.

Good job Dan! It looks like you guys had fun! I love your blog! I too stay in bed as Claire yells in my ear and climbs all over me, I am glad to hear I am not alone. One good thing about her going to AM preschool is that I have to actually get out of bed, I am hoping this will motivate me to be somewhat productive in the morning. I am not a morning person, knowing myself, I will last a week and then just start going to bed as soon as the bus comes!
