Okay, I know I already posted tonight, but I've decided I need some help (which I'm sure isn't news to any of you).
So, this little baby boy is coming on Friday the 17th (five more days...hence the count-down title) at 7 AM. The only trouble is, he is still nameless, and Dan and I just can't agree.
Here are some options that we came up with today. Let me know what you think, and then don't be offended if we don't take your suggestion. I'm pregnant and can do what I want! :)
Bryson (Brycen, Brysen)
Nathaniel
Jace
Cole (I like the name, but hate the fact all my kids start with the "c" sound)
Rushton (Dan doesn't like this...I admit, it's a little weird, but I'm stuck on it)
Samuel
Okay...those were first name. Now what do we do for a middle name? I like the idea of a family name, as long as it isn't a weird family name. I'd like to do my side of the family since Caden got Dan's side of the family, but the only trouble is...I can't think of a name! I really like "Scott" for a middle name, but that's Dan's side of the family. Sigh. Yes, I think we need help. Please let me know what you think, and why you think it.

I kind of like the name Bryson or Nathaniel. The other names I think are a little weird, but hey, thats me. But like you said, you are pregnant and it's your baby, you can do whatever you want. By the way, good luck on Friday and Congratulations. Talk to you later.
I like Nathaniel. Jace is neat but it sounds like people could think they heard Chase. Good luck, we had the same problem.
You know you could always use Joseph for a middle name... (Or Dan, for that matter.)
I like Bryson. And I still like Asher (I suggested it before, but it's ok if you don't use it, because we might when we have another one).
Good luck with names..and with everything else.
First of all congrats on almost being done! It is always nice to be almost done with all that. And as far as names I really like Nathaniel, and Cole. But that is just my thought. Names are hard. Josh and I had a hard time with our new little guys name. It took us a long time to figure it out!
Hey Tarah! I am so glad to see that your doing well, we miss you guys and PU2. Congrats in a few days when baby boy is born. That is such a blessing, although it may not feel like it right now. Despite what Dan says I like Rushton too. How is Dan doing? Camping is so much fun, except for the sleeping part, but the kids love it!!
I definitely vote for Samuel. That's what our boy was going to be if we had one. His middle name would have been Mark, but Mark wanted the middle name to be Empey for Grandma. Mark's middle name is Empey and it became his nickname all through jr. and high school. His childhood friends still call him Empey. So Samuel Empey Johnson is my vote--or Samuel Mark Johnson...
Augh, our Sam wasn't named until a day after he'd been born because I would NOT give on Samson (yes, Samson or Roland....ew!) and Russ would not give on mine (Rowan or....I can't even remember the other, lol). We finally compromised with Samuel Conrad. Honestly, I'm still not used to it as we call him Sam most of the time (which I HATED when I was pregnant, but, it fits!).
Honestly, I like all of your names! I really like Rushton actually...and what about Daniel for a middle name? You know, Dan...Daniel...? I dunno. Names are always so tricky. Oh, and I hear ya about family names...all the ones on my side of the family are....odd. Lloyd, Albert, Fredrick, Bernard...um, no thanks. HA! Good luck and congrats!!! I can't wait to see baby pics!!!!
I'm really enjoying reading these comments. I already told you I like the name Cole, but I hadn't thought about the middle name. They have to flow together, you know. Cole Joseph doesn't seem to work (but I do think Joseph Cole sounds ok). Cole Daniel--nah. Cole Mark-nope. Hm, seems like it works better as a middle name. Gayle gave some nice suggestions.
Oh, just figured out the middle name. Use Cameron--he'd be so honored. Except I'm not sure if that'd work with any of the names except Jace (see below).
If you go with Bryson that's the spelling I'd use (the others are kind of funny looking). I'd avoid Jace--seems girly (there's a Jacie gymnast). Not sure on the Rushton one.
I don't think you'd be able to use Daniel as the middle name if you went with Nathaniel or Samuel--too much rhyming.
Fun for you! Talk to ya later today.
Bryson is my vote!
I choose Rushton Jace... or Rushton Cole.. (Don't worry too much - Ethan wasn't even named until the day we left the hospital, and it wasn't even a name we had really thought about before he was born..) You'll know the right name when you see him... Good luck! :)
Good luck. No suggestions...except name him soon so we know what to call him. PLEASE send us pictures even if he doesn't have a name yet.:)
I like Bryson Joseph or Cole Rushton. You could also make Linford the middle name for either of those first names. Good luck on Friday!
I had a tough enough time coming up with names that Nate and I could agree on for our kids and now you want me to name yours? :)
Seriously though, I like Bryson and Cole and Samuel. And I like Rushton too but not sure how well it works with Johnson. Rushton Johnson. Hmmm. But I guess you'd have the same thing with Bryson Johnson too. Oh, decisions, decisions.
Yes, I know I'm no help. Good luck!
I like Cole and Rushton. Honestly I wouldn't worry about what people think if you have kids that all start with a C sound. Your kids will spend a majority of their life with people who have no idea what you named all your kids. Plus you can always mix it up with the next one.
I liked to see each of the kids before I made a final decision on their name anyway.
Good luck with it. Let me know when your kids can come over and play. We'd love for you/Dan to drop them off.
Nathaniel is #1. I like how Samuel is named after a real cool prophet-child in the Bible.
Hey! You didn't mention the name Linford. Linford Daniel Johnson. Cool!
I like Cole the best, but I understand your "c" issue...I like Bryson, but not "Bryson Johnson" it sounds like a hot dog to me. Jace Johnson is kind of hard to say in my mind. Rushton could be a good middle name--Cole Rushton Johnson. What do you have to do to get rid of Sequoia?
Matthew and Vonda have a Bryson and David and Sarah have a Samuel in our side of the clan, but I guess that doesn't really matter. I really think Linford Dan Johnson has a nice ring to it. We just hope that all goes well.
Good Luck with everything on Friday. I like Daniel Cole...Then he is named after his Dad, but you could call him Cole. I wouldn't worry about abll of your kids names starting with C plenty of people do that.
