Yikes!

Today I feel like I have finally entered the "real world". For those of you who don't know, Dan got a job! Yea! We will be moving to St. George, Utah in May, and I'm thrilled. I'm very proud of Dan as well. That isn't why I feel like I've entered the "real world" though. We put an offer in on a house today. Regardless of whether it goes through or not, that is a real adult thing to do Where did that come from? When did I turn into an adult? Again, don't mind the fact that I have three children, have been married for almost 6 years, have been out of school with my degree for 4 years, etc. Don't mind any of that When did I become an adult? I'm scared to death to do things like this. My instinct is to just wait (wait till I feel older...more like an adult, except I still feel like a high school kid), but waiting for the sake of waiting really isn't all that productive. But things are really coming together and I know that things will work out how they are supposed to.
On another note, Caden sprained his ankle yesterday. Oh the joys. He was jumping off the couch and landed funny on it. We took him into the doctor today just to make sure it wasn't broken. Poor kid. He did finally figure out that if he wanted to get somewhere he could crawl, but most of the time he just wants to be held. He's only 22 lbs, but boy that gets heavy after a bit.
I haven't blogged for awhile because my "l" "o" "9" and "." keys don't work, and copying and pasting or using the on-screen keyboard is rather a hassle. So, just for fun, see if you can understand this without the use of those letters.
S I can't think f anything t type t try this fun itte exercise Nrma yI can just tak and tak abut smething randm, but I'm just drawing a bank It's been reay nice t have Dan hme He sti has sme vacatin time eft and it's amazing hw nice it is t have him arnd Anyway, this paragraph shudn't be that hard t read, and it's tempting t keep a my psts ike this becase hw imprtant are the and perid keys? nah, wh needs them anyway

Congrats to getting a job, and putting an offer in on a house!!! So exciting. Shawn and I feel much like you in the fact that in many ways we too feel like we are still young enough to be in high school. Where does the time go.
Enjoy the time Dan has left on Vacation. That time always seems to go by the quickest. :)

Is the offer on the house by the temple? We've decided to take the job in Castle Dale. Just that much closer.

So which house did you decide on? The one with 3 bedrooms or 5 bedrooms? Congratulations again Dan!

I'm glad things are coming together for you and your family! -- And I can totally relate to the whole adult thing, -- when did I get a minivan for instance? I have to ask Jeff how old I am whenever the question arrises, because I forget. Is St. George by family? Well congrats congrats congrats :)

Hurray for a new blog!

When will you hear if they accepted your offer?

Sorry about Caden--is it all swollen and bruised?

Have a fun day!

Oh, and I could read your last paragraph. A few places were spotty, but it didn't take too long to figure it out. :)

Awesome Tarah!! I'm excited that you'll be a little closer to your family. I know what you mean about suddenly feeling like an adult. Mine was when I bought my van. I know that sounds dumb because we'd already owened a house for 4 years, I had a 3 year old and a 1 year old. But buying that mini van was the clincher. I remember driving thinking, "Wow, I'm 25 and a mom with a MINI VAN!" I felt so old.

So I need deets on this house, so I can check it out. :) I can't tell you how excited I am you're moving down here. Wahooooo! :)

On another note, so sorry about Caden. :( I've sprained each of my ankles and it's not fun. I imagine it would be pure torture for a 2-year-old, who doesn't really understand what's going on.

And hey, I understood that last paragraph just fine. :)

Oh I'm so excited about the house thing - you totally have to post more details about it! I love, love, love house hunting vicariously through others. Oh, and your last paragraph was really funny! I love it!

That's so exciting about the job and putting in an offer on a house! I'm with ya on the 'when did I become and adult' thing though, and the whole dealing with boring adult stuff, I don't know when it happened, but it did (even though I'm behind on the whole mom thing-which isn't my fault). Try not to let it get you too down!

Tarah! Congrats on Dan's (and your) job! And a house, too! This is a very exciting time of life for you guys. I must say that adult "hood" hit me hard when we had to start paying back student loans and real bills. Anyway, we are super happy for you guys!
