That's Not My Snowman
I was reading my friend Lacey's blog and she wrote about her daughter "reading" a story to them. Well, being the type of mother that compares my children to other children (I know, it's bad and I should stop) I wanted to see if Kember could do it too! Guess what?! She did. Tonight I was reading to the kids and one of the books was "That's not my Snowman" after I read it I gave it to her and she "read" it to me. It was too cute. She read it twice to me, I read it to her again, and then waited for Dan to finish calling his mock client (he has to get permission to operate on a goat...weird). Then I had her "read" it to him. It was too cute. She didn't get it entirely right. It is supposed to say, "That's not my snowman" and then at the end say "That's my snowman!" but every page she did the not was left out. I'm just amazed at how well children can memorize things. Especially songs. Kember memorizes songs really fast. I guess my kids are "Keeping up with the Jones'" so we are good on that front!

Grandma & Grandpa J. That is OUR Kember!!!
lol...Tarah, you crack me up. Every parent compares their kid. Most don't openly admit it though. :D So kudos to you. Welcome to step 1 of Parenting Anonymous. :D
I'm glad she is enjoying the book. I thought it was cute.
I was going to say, didn't Michelle give you that book? She gave it to us, and I love it. So fun with all the touchy stuff.
Zoie's been doing the reading thing pretty well lately too. So funny! Sometimes it interrupts my reading to her, but hey, lettin' go of that.
I thought most kids say "You read it." Funny how different they are these days.
Ok Tarah, I would have to say that Kember is perfectly develpmentally normal, maybe even ahead since she is what, 9 months younger than Jenna? :) Your so funny... and its fun to know that people are reading my blog and I get mentioned, how fun!
Yeah, I do the comparison thing too. Quite a bit between Joey and Kember. Sad, but true. :)
Hey Tarah, your old college roommate here. I got your blog from Lindsay's blog and I decided to read it. Every parent always got compared to their sibblings. I know I did and I also compare my girls also. Right now it's just saying when Mackenzie started crawling and Erika did that earlier than Mackenzie. I keep telling my husband that it is because Erika looks up to Mackenzie and loves to watch every single thing. Well, keep in touch and I will see you later.
